Visit my ArtFire Studio to see my current creations!
November 2009 Update! I'm in the process of updating
this website, but it could be quite a while before it's really
current! In the meantime, please check out my shop on ARTFIRE where
you will find everything I have for sale right now! Take advantage
of my Free Shipping offer by using the
coupon code to the left! And, just to make your life really simple,
you can shop from the Rapid Cart on this very page! :-) By reloading
the page, you will see different pieces each time!
I also have a shop on
Etsy, but more of my work is listed in my ArtFire studio. If you
would prefer to shop on Etsy, you can find me at
NightSkyJewelry.etsy.com.
Now to this site...
This website started off
as a temporary place to show my handmade jewelry to friends and family, but
it's actually begun to stir interest from other people so I made up a name
and bought business cards. Unfortunately, I misspelled "artisan" and
had to get them reprinted, but that's a whole nother story. You can
find my earrings, pendants, and necklaces (and buy them!) by googling Night Sky Jewelry, or just by going to my
online shops that are mentioned all over this website.
♦ Please Note:
Everything shown on this site has been sold, but if you see
something you like, please contact me. I might be able to make a
similar piece for you.
My name is Sharon and I
have been designing and crafting jewelry for about 35 years. As a
wax artist, I've been lucky enough to
work with many highly skilled
and imaginative jewelers in the Salt Lake Valley for almost three
decades. Preferring wax work over metal and stone work, I was
happy to discover that my talents were appreciated and needed by
these fine craftsmen. However, in time, everything gets old (even
me!) and for a while I tried out other money-making endeavors. I even took a stab at retail (not very good at pushing things
on people, so not my best career choice) and eventually I landed the
FUN job of making titanium rings. This was one of my favorite jobs,
but it was really hard on my hands and wrists, so eventually I ended up back
in the wax biz. I was becoming very bored, and not feeling very
creative, when I discovered beaders! I was fascinated by the
wonderful jewelry these people were making with silver wire and
gemstone beads. Had to give it a go. And guess what? I
found out I'm pretty good at it, and I LOVE it! While I still
have my "real" job at
James
Hardwick Jewelers, I find so much pleasure when I sit down with
my beads and silver and get lost in the process of designing and
crafting! So browse around and
see what you think of my work. Comments and questions are always
welcome! Contact me via email
anytime.
